  5. The .??H and .??I files are bit map versions of the fonts for displaying on
  6. screen. All of the various sizes are not needed. Should you need room on your
  7. working copy, only place one or two of the more common point size screen fonts
  8. on the working copy.

  10. The .FM files are the font metrics where the width and kerning tables, as well
  11. as the name of the font, is kept. You MUST have these files on your working
  12. disk if you are going to use the fonts.

  14. The .DMF font files are used for printing to Dot Matrix printers and
  15. non-PostScript compatible laser printers. If you are strictly using a
  16. PostScript printing, you need not copy these files to your working disk.

  18. The .PSF files are lookup tables for printing to postscript printers. If you
  19. are only printing to Dot Matrix and non-PostScript compatible laser printers,
  20. then you need not copy these files to your working disk.

  22. The .PS files are actual PostScript downloadable fonts used in conjunction with
  23. the .PSF files. These files are only needed when printing to PostScript
  24. compatible printers. These files must reside in the same directory as the .PSF
  25. files.
